In this inaugural Intersect Online session, Zhi-Ying Barry, Senior Analyst, Digital Business Strategy at Forrester Research will share her thoughts on the future of banking. Zhi-Ying Barry

Zhi-Ying serves digital strategy professionals in the financial services and retail sectors across Asia Pacific. Her research focuses on the business and customer value that digital technologies bring; she advises clients on strategies to create new business models and sources of value for customers in the region. She works closely with execs at major banks, insurers and wealth management firms in Asia Pacific. Zhi-Ying's views on banking strategy and digital banking are commonly cited in prominent local and international publications and broadcast media. She is currently based in Sydney having previously worked in Forrester’s Singapore office.
Bernhard Schmidt

Bernhard has more than 15 years of management experience in various Austrian and international banks. He joined Austrian Post in 2019 to do something new and challenging: build a retail bank from scratch in just under 12 months: bank99. Bernhard has not only overseen the overall project management to launch bank99 but is its Chief of Staff, responsible for Legal, Compliance, Data Protection, Outsourcing Management, HR, Audit, IT-Security and Strategy & Projects. Prior to this role he served as General Counsel and Executive Director at Austrian Anadi Bank, HYPO NOE and the European-subholding of VTB, one of Russia’s leading universal banks.
Michael Wiedeck
Chief Sales Officer @bank99 AG
Michael has more than 16 years of experience in banking sales and financial services. He served as Head of Retail Banking Austrian Anadi Bank and worked at BAWAG P.S.K. prior to joining Austrian Post in November 2018 to build a new sales network from scratch. He is now responsible for a sales force of 150+, along with partners. Additionally, he has developed new channels and products, including online and mobile banking and taken responsibility for the entire P&L ownership across channels.
